Reviews for Yen Sen Seafood
Review highlights
Based on 175 reviewsYen Sen Seafood is widely recognized for its flavorful fish head curry, praised for its generous portions and balanced spice levels, making it a popular choice among families and regular patrons. The restaurant’s dishes are noted for their affordability and consistent quality, particularly the claypot tofu and wok-fried specialties. While the service is generally swift, the eatery tends to get crowded during peak hours, reflecting its strong local following. Some feedback mentions the steamboat as average compared to other offerings. Located conveniently in a bustling kopitiam, Yen Sen Seafood maintains a nostalgic hawker-style charm and sustained popularity in the Choa Chu Kang area despite changing times, marking it as a longstanding neighborhood favorite.
Another fav hangout for my family! We usually get the curry fish head (Curry is delicious without being too spicy at affordable price of $27; cheaper than their Fish Head Steamboat), tofu and vegetables. Today we were surprised to see that their claypot tofu portion were a lot! Updated: Went back again and tried the steamboat. Honestly very average only, nice soup but the fish boiled until the meat meh.
Super fast cooking service. I came to this coffee shop a few times always packed with people during dinner time. So do come early. Many people are eating their curry fish. $27 for fish head. Portion of fish and ingredients is good. However wished that there’s beancurd skin. Qing long cai also good. Can preorder via call to take away.
Delicious fish head curry. Only one portion though (around $30) but good enough for two people. Located conveniently near one of the exits of Kranji camp, quite a few regulars dine here every Friday evening.
Hawker style zi char located within a kopitiam in a neighbourhood. Good wok hey for fried rice. Reasonable price. Can be crowded during peak hours.
One of the best tze char place around the CCK Yewtee area. Which is where i belong yo. Anyway this place has been here for the longest time despite the multiple change of hands for the other stalls, this is the only survivor that is able to withstand the changes and obstacles for two decades. Popular dishes are the usual fishhead curry , sweet sour pork, prawn paste chicken ,hot plate tofu and the sorts. However for me i like to go for the over-rice dishes w their soup of the day. Dont ask me why, i just like it. If you are here one fine day, dont hesitate to pop by and give it a try. I believe they open till late 11.30pm. Thank me later
